The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
Support for BPL’s StoryWalk® program is funded by The New York City Council City’s First Readers initiative and created in partnership with Brooklyn Bridge Park.
At select Brooklyn Public Library locations and partner locations, we are posting StoryWalks® outdoors! StoryWalks® are picture books displayed outside to encourage reading and walking. We will be posting them on fences and on yard signs at select libraries and partner sites. Each book has prompts to encourage family discussion and interaction!
At the Main Street Playground of Brooklyn Bridge Park, you can view Lola Plants a Garden by Anna McQuinn and illustrated by Rosalind Beardshaw (Bloomsbury, 2014). Lola plants a flower garden with her parent's help, and watches it grow. Pair your StoryWalk with a visit to the brand new Adams Street Library, a short walk away!
